Conflict Minerals Policy

Mineral resources mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries (collectively known as the “DRC countries”) are a source of funding for armed forces that are causing human rights abuses and environmental destruction, which is of global concern.
These mineral resources include tantalum, tin, gold, and tungsten, and are collectively referred to as conflict minerals.

To fulfill our social responsibility during procurement activities, Nissin has a policy not to use conflict minerals mined or intermediated by armed forces in the DRC countries.

To prevent this, we implement measures to ensure that conflict minerals are not used within the Group, and we ask that our suppliers thoroughly check their mineral resource procurement sources.
If we discover the use of conflict minerals, we will discontinue their use and work to procure alternatives.

We will continue to address the issue of conflict minerals in terms of both compliance and CSR.
